Dylan Russell, club manager + player for our 7s team HBMB7s has undergone a mammoth charity challenge for us. Since June 1st 2021 he has been running 35km every single week without fail. Aptly named, The 365 Challenge, his goal was to do this for an entire year, the equivalent distance of running 5km every day for 365 days. He is set to finish this on 1st June 2022.

The challenge has not just been physically demanding but also mentally strenuous. Juggling his day job, injury and prepping a very busy 7s schedule, it’s amazing to see The 365 Challenge is still going strong and remains unbroken.

As if this wasn’t enough, Dylan has decided to go even bigger to finish the chalenge. For the final two weeks (19/5/22-1/6/22) he will be attempting 14 half marathons, across all 14 Scottish Healthboards in just 14 days. A feat which has never before been done in this geographical area.

So far he has raised over £3000 for The 365 Challenge and is hopeful that now in the final month he’ll manage to raise a lot more.

Below is the donation link for the challenge as well as a list of all the great companies that have came on board to support Dylan, The 365 Challenge and the 14in14 finale.
